ATGC Platform

How can we help you ?

The ATGC platform, which was accredited by IBiSA in 2010, is supported by the following Investissement d'Avenir projects: IFB (Institut Français de Bioinformatique), France Génomique and Labex NUMEV. The platform is supported by the MAB (Methods and Algorithms for Bioinformatics) research team.

The platform has a threefold mission: to disseminate the bioinformatics tools developed within the Montpellier community, to encourage collaboration between computer scientists and biologists, and to provide assistance to these researchers by setting up bioinformatics services directly related to their work.

Achieve your
Goals with ATGC

ATGC was created in 2000 by the MAB team hosted in LIRMM. Since 2012, it is a joint project of IBC (computational biology), LIRMM (computer science) and MiVEGEC (evolution and phylogeny). This bioinformatic platform provides different kind of services :

  • Software: available for online analysis or for download.
  • Data: available as online searchable databases or downloadable datasets.
  • Project support : essentially dedicated to NGS analysis.
  • Project Trainings: we organize each year a 5 days session dedicated to molecular phylogeny and a 4 days session dedicated to NGS analysis.

These services are based on our expertise, issued from our research activities. These involve phylogenetics, molecular evolution, genome dynamics, comparative and functional genomics and transcriptome analysis.
Most of the software and data are (co)authored by researchers from involved labs.

Trainings

we organize trainings dedicated to molecular phylogeny, NGS data analysis and bioinformatic scripting.

ATGC Platform

Use PhyML

PhyML is a software package that uses modern statistical approaches to analyse alignments of nucleotide or amino acid sequences in a phylogenetic framework.

Use WAVES

WAVES is a web application dedicated to bioinformatic tool integration. It provides an efficient way to implement a service for any bioinformatic software.
